The continuous tradition of Our School (Zawiya)

The Alawī Ḥusaynī Ninowī Zawiya is part of the traditional Qādirī Rifāʾī Shādhilī school of Sufism (Iḥsān/Tazkiyah). Though the focus of our Zawiya is Shādhilī mainly, the current Shaykh of the Zawiya; Sidī Shaykh Muhammad bin Yaḥya is connected and authorized in many schools of Taṣawwuf, such as:

 

The Shādhilī school:

Our Shaykh narrates it and is fully authorized in it from many Shuyukh, such as:

1 – His father; al-Sayyid Yaḥya bin Muḥammad (Raḥimahu Allah)

2 – The Ghumarī Ṣiddīqī Shuyukh, such as Sīdī ʾAbdullah, Sīdī Ibrahīm, Sīdī al-Ḥasan and others (Raḥimahum Allah).

3 – Sīdī Abdullah al-Talīdī (Raḥimahu Allah).

4 – Sīdī Aḥmad al-Qatʾānī (Raḥimahu Allah).

5 – Sīdī Aḥmad al-Huwwārī al-Dalāʿī; the student of Muḥammad al-ʾArabī al-Mudgharī; the student of Aḥmad al-Badawī Zwaytin al-Fāsī; the student of Mawlāi al-ʾArabī al-Darqāwī (Raḥimahum Allah).

6 – Sīdī Muhammad bin Abd Al Ba’ith Al Husayni Al Kittani (Allah Ta’la protect him) connecting us to the Qawiqji Shadhili, Madani Shadhili, and other branches of the Shadhili school.

7- And many others.

8 – Sidī Shaykh Muhammad was mentioned as one of the prominent Shuyukh of the Shādhilī ʾĪsāwī Jazūlī school (Tariqah) in this era by the late grand Musnid, Ḥadīth scholar and Sufī of Lybia; Sīdī Aḥmad al-Qatʾānī al-Ḥasanī (Raḥimahu Allah) in his book below:

The Rifāʿī school:

Our Shaykh Sīdī Muhammad narrates it from many Shuyukh, such as:

1 – His father: al-Sayyid Yaḥya bin Muḥammad, who narrates it from many Shuyukh, among them his father Sīdī Muhammad bin Saʾīd, Shaykh Bakri Ḥamrah, Shaykh MuḥammadʿAjjān al-Ḥadīd, and others (Raḥimahum Allah).

2 – Shaykh Muḥammad Jamīl al-Rifāʾī (Raḥimahu Allah).

3 – Shaykh Fatiḥ Fallāḥa al-Husaynī, who took from Shaykh Yusuf al-Baṭāiḥī and others (Raḥimahum Allah).

4 – Shaykh ʾAdāb al-Ḥamsh al-Riḍwī al-Ḥusaynī.

5 – And many others.

The Qādirī and Khalwatī School:

Our Shaykh Sīdī Muhammad narrates it from many Shuyukh, such as:

1 – His father: al-Sayyid Yaḥya bin Muḥammad, who narrates it from many Shuyukh, among them his father Sīdī Muhammad bin Saʾīd, Shaykh Bakri Ḥamrah, Shaykh MuḥammadʿAjjān al-Ḥadīd, and others (Raḥimahum Allah).

2 – Shaykh Muḥammad Jamīl al-Rifāʾī (Raḥimahu Allah).

3 – Shaykh Ḥasan Qarībullah (Raḥimahu Allah).

4 – ShaykhʾAbd al-ʾAzīz al-Jamal (Raḥimahu Allah).

5 – Shaykh ʾAdāb al-Ḥamsh al-Riḍwī al-Ḥusaynī.

6 – And many more (Raḥimahum Allah).

The Chistī Nizāmī School:

Our Shaykh Sīdī Muhammad narrates it from:

1 – Shaykh Saʾīd and Shaykh ʾAbd al-ʾAzīz, the grand children of Ḥazrat Soofie Ṣāheb (Raḥimahum Allah).

2 – Shaykh Qutbuddīn Qāḍī (Allah Ta’ala protect him).

3 – And some others (Raḥimahum Allah).

Affiliations, connections, and authorizations in other schools, such as al- Riḍwiyya, al-Naqshbandia (from multiple grand Shuyukh), al-Sa’diyya, al-Badawiyya, al-Dusūqiyya, Ṣayyadiyya, Sammāniyya, Ismiyya, ʾAdiliyya, al-ʾAzmiyya, al-Suhrawardiyya, al-Anfās, al-Tījaniyya (from the late Shaykh Aḥmad Tījānī Nias, and Shaykh Mụhammad Ṣālih al-Ḥusaynī), and many others, may Allah Taʾāla bless them all.
